 As part of a consortium of four companies, with Siemens being the prime, Kovatec Inc. won an important contract with the Department of National Defence for a document retrieval system. The proposed solution enabled 240 PeopleSoft users access to personnel records that had been placed on line. To this date, 12 million documents have been archived to a 1.2 Terabyte storage system. The Canadian Forces Publication Depot This Canadian Forces Publications Depot project involved the conversion of   some 600,000 pages of National Defence technical publications to electronic   format. These publications included text, tables, graphics and photographs. The   work was to be performed to exacting DND standards in terms of quality,   resolution and complex indexing. Deliverables included PDF files recorded on   CD-ROM plus shrinkwrap proofs in hard copy. In a competitive situation, Kovatec   was found to be the only compliant supplier in terms of production equipment and   staff skill set.
